Details
Plan for unpredictability and plan for fun at the 24th annual Design Inspiration Weekend, a retreat and forum on design. It’s a weekend filled with instant camaraderie, design presentations, good food, and bowling! The theme this year is Planned Unpredictability.

Kicking off on Friday evening, Jan 13, we are excited to have Mitch Goldstein give the keynote address. Mitch is a designer, educator, and writer. He received his BFA in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design, and his MFA in Design/Visual Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts. Mitch has taught in the departments of Graphic Design and Illustration at RISD, the departments of Graphic Design and Foundation Studies at MICA, the department of Graphic Design at VCU, and the department of Art at Rhode Island College. Together with his partner Anne Jordan, he works on selected client projects focusing on book cover and publication design. Mitch teaches art and design at the Rochester Institute of Technology as an Assistant Professor in the School of Design.

All Saturday and Sunday presentations are given by attendees, because all attendees are given the opportunity to speak, and most do! Join us and contribute your view on this year’s theme.
